As part of ECOSLO’s commitment to protecting and preserving the natural resources of San Luis Obispo County, our Urban Tree program plants and cares for trees locally. With your support we can continue our efforts to green our community and provide environmental benefits.

Planting trees is no small task, and neither is caring for them.

Did you know that an urban tree needs 5-10 gallons of water a week for the first three years after it is planted? Trees can be very resilient, but they also need time to establish in order to grow and be able to successfully sequester carbon. We are up to the task, but could use your help to ensure our urban forest thrives.

• By donating $10 you could fund the purchasing of tree care supplies including a water jug or tree guard

• By donating $20 you could provide supplies for a single planting including tree stakes, ties, and a gopher cage

• By donating $50 you could fund the purchasing of a tree

• By donating $100+ you could fund a major planting or project!

On average it costs about $500 to plant and care for a tree for three years. No matter how much you are able to give, you will directly impact the program and make a big difference!
