Beach Keepers

Monthly beach cleanups hosted by ECOSLO the first Saturday morning of each month, and a supplies check-out program for groups. Made possible by the California Coastal Commission and local business sponsors.

Saturday, November 17 is the next Beach Keepers cleanup.

Volunteer with ECOSLO to pickup and track trash at Morro Strand Dog Beach/Toro Creek from 9am-11am.

Please use the sign up buttons below to register to volunteer.  We will email you to confirm.  Thank you for volunteering to care for your local beaches!

There are multiple ways you can be a part of ECOSLO’s Beach Keepers program:

  • Join ECOSLO for monthly Beach Cleanups the first Saturday of every month, from 9am-11am. We rotate to 10 various locations throughout SLO County. Note: Rain cancels the cleanup.
  • Check out ECOSLO’s cleanup supplies and host your own group cleanup on your preferred date and location. Choose from over 30 locations. Remember, we require all groups to track the trash they collect.  Data cards are provided.  Please see application link below. Note: Beach Keepers groups must have at least 15 participants.
  • Request a speaker to share about local, state and international information regarding plastic pollution and ways we can make a difference to care for our precious planet.
  • Support the programs of ECOSLO by making a donation and/or becoming an event sponsor. Support from individuals and organizations is what makes our work possible year after year!
