ECOSLO Hike at Islay Hill @ Islay Hill

Meet Seth at the Trailhead. End times are approximate.

Trail info:
Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Elevation: 775 feet
Distance: 2 miles round trip
Estimated Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Area: 65 acres
Trailhead:  Take Broad Street south and make a left onto Tank Farm Road. Follow this road and make a right onto Wavertree Street. Make a left onto Spanish Oaks Drive and then a quick right onto Sweetbay Lane. Trailhead is at the end of Sweetbay Lane.

One mile trail with panoramic views of Edna Valley’s wineries and ranches. It is the most southern of the Seven Sister peaks and is a terrific 45-minute workout.

SLO City Ranger Led Hike @ Irish Hills

Ranger led hikes are a great way to learn more about the open spaces you enjoy.  Rangers cover topics from flora and fauna to local history of open spaces.  These hikes are also a great way to get to know your local rangers and ask questions about the Ranger Service and responsible use of open space. This hike meets at 9am and lasts from 1-3 hours.

ECOSLO Hike at Bowden Ranch @ Bowden Ranch

BOWDEN RANCH Directions: Take Johnson Ave south, then left on Lizzie Street (opposite French Hospital). Lizzie ends at a split rail fence that marks the beginning of the trail. Park on the street near the trailhead. End times are approximate.
About the Trail: It is a steep hike up the ridge over Johnson Avenue, where you can see amazing views all the way from Cayucos to the Nipomo Dunes. Connects to the Reservoir Canyon trail after 3 miles.

Elevation: 875 feet
Distance: 2.5 miles round trip
Estimated Time: 1 hour
Total Area: 360 acres
Trailhead: From the 101 Freeway in San Luis Obispo, take  Highway 1 exit north. Drive for one mile toward Morro Bay and turn left onto Highland Drive. Drive about half a mile and turn right on Patricia Drive. Go about a half a mile until you  spot the trail head on the left.

Bishop Peak is the tallest of the Seven Sisters, at 1559 ft, and offers 360 degree views of San Luis Obispo.
