Meet Dale at the Patricia Street Trail head to hike the Felsman Loop trail. End time is approximate.

Trailhead directions: Heading west on Foothill Boulevard, turn right onto Patricia Drive. Follow Patricia Drive and just after Patricia Court is the trailhead on the left. Please park on Bishop Peak side and not the residential side of the street. Thank you!

RESERVOIR CANYON Directions:
Take Highway 101 North from San Luis Obispo. About a mile past city limits, turn right on Reservoir Canyon Road. Trailhead is at the end of Reservoir Canyon Road. Park to the left.
About Reservoir Canyon: In one direction, great views from the ridge after a steep hike with rock steps and exposed hillsides; in the other, it’s a gentle walk in shade along the creek.
TRAIL INFO:
Difficulty: Moderate to Difficult
Elevation: 400-1,715 feet
Distance: 5.25 miles total
Estimated Time: ~3 hours w/ SLO Stewards docent
Area: 487 acres

Directions to Madonna Road Trailhead:
From Highway 101, take the Los Osos Valley Road north towards Los Osos. Turn left on Madonna Road. Follow the street to the end and find parking on the street, then walk up the dirt road to the trailhead.

SLO City Ranger Led Hike @ South Hills

Ranger led hikes are a great way to learn more about the open spaces you enjoy.  Rangers cover topics from flora and fauna to local history of open spaces.  These hikes are also a great way to get to know your local rangers and ask questions about the Ranger Service and responsible use of open space.  All Hikes meet at 1 pm and last from 1 – 3 hours.

To get to the trailhead: From the 101 Freeway in San Luis Obispo, exit on Madonna Road and head west for half a mile. Turn right on Dalidio Drive to enter Laguna Lake Park. Park at the end of the drive by the dog park and bathrooms.

Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous
Elevation: 775 feet
Distance: 2 miles round trip
Estimated Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Area: 65 acres
Trailhead:  Take Broad Street south and make a left onto Tank Farm Road. Follow this road and make a right onto Wavertree Street. Make a left onto Spanish Oaks Drive and then a quick right onto Sweetbay Lane. Trailhead is at the end of Sweetbay Lane.

One mile trail with panoramic views of Edna Valley’s wineries and ranches. It is the most southern of the Seven Sister peaks and is a terrific 45-minute workout.

Outdoor Discovery Festival @ Lopez Lake

ECOSLO is looking for volunteers to help out with Outdoor Discovery Festival at Lopez Lake!  There are many ways you can help out, and as a thank you, San Luis Obispo County Parks will gift you a parking pass for that day.  Shifts are 2-3 hours in length and range from 8AM until 5PM.

If you like to hike, bike, camp, fish, bird watch, kayak, horseback ride, boat, golf, and more…. this is the place to be!  Why not volunteer to help make this a great event?  Then enjoy the festival after or before your volunteer shift.

There will be exhibits and demonstrations showcasing the many activities available in our County Parks as well as local sporting and eco-friendly vendors, such as ECOSLO.  ODFGrab a bite to eat from one of many local food vendors while enjoying live music.  The main event will take place at the Vista Lago Day Use Area.
